Realtek HD Audio Drivers is a tool that allows you to listen to audio in HD on your PC.
Drivers are generally lightweight software programs that communicate with your PC's operating system and other complimentary software in order to make a piece of hardware work.
In this instance, Realtek HD Audio Drivers communicate with the Windows 2000 or XP operating systems so you can listen to music from your speakers. They translate data into audio signals that allow speakers to play audio externally.
